This site was upgraded to v2.5 recently, it has a lot of versions that seem to work.
www.causewaybaitandtackle.com
So the core code seems to be sound at least running on this site. I'm not quite sure why it wouldn't pick up images on another site.

You're running plain vanilla unmodified files?
Are you sure you haven't done any modifications to image controls or other relevant code?

If you upload a new version image for one of those versions, does that display? If so, can you check the location of the image and see how it compares to the old version images.
