We've noticed a few duplicate customer accounts being created over the weekend.
Test have shown that when a new customer enters their details into KartrisLogin.ascx, if they hit Enter as opposed to press Submit, it creates a customer record but locks the screen and doesn't let them continue. They then have to navigate back to another page only to return and re-key their details.

I've tested this in Firefox & IE111 with the same results.

There was also a scenario where the passwords entered did not match but because I hit Enter, the record was created and the screen locked.

We upgraded to .NET4.5 over the weekend. Had not notced this problem before. It may be coincidence. Has anyone else had such problems - or could test and help with my theory?

I tried on our demo with latest Firefox and cannot recreate this (it is running on asp.net 4.5, though I don't think there would be any changes in that over 4.0 that would cause different behaviour).

I was using the new account creation page - which page is it that actually freezes for you? Do you get the same behaviour on our demo, v25demo.kartris.com

Hi Paul,

No, I did not get the same issue on your demo version. And then of course when I tried again on our live site I could not replicate the problem there.
It definitely happened! 3 customers created duplicate accounts in quick succession.
I'm happy to put it down to gremlins but will reinvestigate if we experience the problem again.
