Yes... you can set this up from within the product version - bottom dropdown 'delivery type'.
There are several config settings to control download behaviour - search for 'downloads' in the back end and it should find these:
frontend.downloads.daysavailable
frontend.downloads.hidden
frontend.downloads.instant
