I suggest you create somewhere in the backend config toggle on/off an advertising feature. It should allow you to place ads either above the header or in the left and right columns, above the footer. It should also allow you to rotate ads from different advertisers, and manage the statistics from users clicking on each of the ads.
Just a suggestion, but it would be nice
