Yeah finally I did it!

So this seems to be the full procedure to upgrade on a local installation:
1 - backup site!
2 - download and open zip file
3 - stop IIS
4 - upgrade db tables with sql files contained in uploads/resources
5 - substitute website files with new ones
6 - modify web.config to put site in Setup-mode
7 - start IIS and open site in browser
8 - follow setup procedure 'til web.config rewriting, download web.config modified
9 - stop IIS
10 - substitute web.config with the downloaded one
11 - restart IIS

Admin user will have to change password having that during setup a new one will be generated (i didn't tried to overwrite proposed pwd with my one)

I ask myself how this will be done on a provider's webserver but I'll try later.

I don't think the fact I have to stop/restart IIS to change web.config depends on the policies assigned to ApplicationPoolIdentity: I don't know wich is user associated with ApplicationPoolIdentity (it doesn't appear in users list) but I gave to IIS user (IUSR and IIS_User) full control over kartris directory...

But still is not over...
I upgraded db using sql files presents in Uploads/resources of latest release's zip file (no problem or error messages), then altered web.config to force re-installation and restarted IIS: installation process proceed 'til web.config rewriting with data inserted in previous tabs but it can't complete this operation because web.config is in use by IIS... so stopped IIS, overwrited web.config with the new one downloaded and restarted IIS.
Entered backend with new admin password and TA-DAAH... the orange tab that recommend to upgrade is still there!

I see that general.kartrisinfo.versionadded record in kartrisConfig table shows the correct release (2.8004)... please tell me wich other operation on db (I suppose that if installation process could overwrite web.config some other operation would be performed on db to inform backend page that system is upgraded) I have to do to adjust this situation.
Thank you.

Gmorning you all, I'm a Kartris' newbie...

I installed Kartris by Microsoft Web Platform Installer from User & Developer Guide page thinking it will have installed latest release of K, but now entering in Admin backend the initial dashboard shows me an orange tab that tells me I've installed v.2.6002 and it's recommended a software upgrade to v.2.8004....
(I provide to upgrade db now but this is not a nice welcome to new users...)
