See this regarding support for IE8:

http://userguide.kartris.com/Default.aspx?headID=328

Though the lack of a 'NonResponsive' skin should not in itself generate any errors, instead users will get served the responsive skin in IE8 (which almost certainly won't work and may kick js errors however).

I know you aren't supporting IE8 anymore and I have no desire to either, but frustratingly our client has been trying to view their brand new shop using it and is getting nothing but the "Ooops" message!

When I've checked it out it seems to be throwing an exception at web_menu.sitemap, and I'm curious to know how a particular browser could trigger such an error.

I'd much rather get the client to download chrome or firefox if they must stay on XP but in the mean time I need to give a technical explanation for our deliverable being "broken" when we said it was nearly finished! I know Foundation no longer supports IE8 but this is a server error not a display issue.

Many thanks for your assistance!
