Hi I'm setting up a cart whose main use is US only. Version 2.5004. I can only see a tax regime for EU in the wizard. Am I missing something?

Since the tax regime setting is stored in the web.config, you can't really change it in the backend. You have the chance to set it though during the setup routine. You need to edit the web.config manually if you want to change it after setup. Please check section 3.6 of the Kartris User Guide for more info on this ->
