Hi we have stock control enabled and when a products stock level hits 0 the out of stock message appears as expected but if we have an item with say 4 left in stock the quantity dropdown still lets a user select 15 of the item and place the order.
Is there any way around this?

Is the frontend.orders.allowpurchaseoutofstock set to 'n'?

Sorry about that is was set to y I have changed it to n but the user can still order more that we have in stock. If the items stock is 0 they cannot order the item though.
any other ideas?

Sorry I have also noticed the stock quantity doesn't decrease on thee purchased option combination, the product has enable stock tracking on this item selected.
