Hi Guys,

Got the latest version of Kartris with the database fixes, and tried to use the data tool, latets version 1.4000c, to upgrade my data in the old version to populate the new working kart. When I click the upgrade database (the new version of Kartris has been fully installed and is working), I get to the "test connections" page.

Source and destination are all tested and working, but then what? There are no action / execute buttons or commands (I'm on Win7 - maybe a bug on this platform?) - so how precisely do you upgrade, or am I missing something ridiculouly obvious.

Perhaps the execute / upgrade button has been left out in the latest version by accident?

Many thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Can you please put a screenshot for what you are getting ? Is it similar to the attached one ?

Would be good if you could post the data tool related issues here.

Hi Mohammed,

Here is a screenshot - I don't have the two buttons at the bottom, which are shown on your screnshot, so perhaps the issue is with Windows 7 - all I have is the source and destination.

Regards,

Mark

It shouldn't be the operating system, I've got the screenshot form windows 7.

Change your screen resolution to something higher and try again.

The screen res is 1920 by 1080 - there just aren't any buttons to perform any actions. I have a feeling that because this is an HD laptop, with a widescreen resolution that the data tool has some automatic window sizing based on the screen resolution, which stretches it wider than high, thus trimming off the buttons at the bototm, and because of no scrollbar or resize functionality, it is not possible to get to the action buttons.

UPDATE: I tried other options within the data tool, and with them you can resize the window - just not on the upgrade database option, which is strange.

If the data tool had the ability to resize the window on the upgrade option, I am sure it woudl work, but because its size is fixed, there is this issue. :-(

Hi Guys,

No -  we have tried the data tool new version on 2 other computers, both running windows 7 and they all have the same issue on the upgrade, one was a normal non laptop with standard monitor 1024 by 780 and no dice, the action buttins may be hidden below the bottom end of the interface on the upgrade Kartris segment. Interestingly, on other sections, you can enlarge the interface by dragging it's bottom edge - but this is not possible with the upgrade Kartris section.

Thanks,

Mark
