Installing manually on server and only have Plesk control panel so no desktop access.
Went through all the steps, download web.config (as could not update), added has key, FTP back to server, hit finish button then:
Error! An error occurred. The system has written a log file entry.
Where are these written please?
Thanks

Thanks for letting us know you got it sorted.
If you ever do get the message where it says an error was written to the log, you can view these in the backend of the software. Though this wouldn't work if db connection was bad.
configuration / db admin / error logs
(select a date and you can see detailed error messages from that day)
We don't write them to the screen for security reasons (an attacker can sometimes gain useful information from them).

You can also view the logs here (download and view in text editor)
/uploads/logs/Errors/
