I am wanting to change the names of some of my products.   I have several questions....

1) This will cause the URL to that product to be different, which means the search engines will be pointing to the wrong pages (temporarily, at least).  Is my assumption correct?

2) Will this affect users who have saved baskets to those products, or will those dynamically change with the product name change because they're saved by ID rather than name?

Just want to check before I make any changes.

1) If you are depending on the product name to be used in the URL, then Yes, the search engines will point to wrong pages, but there is a solution: copy the old product name to the "URL Name" and then change the product name to the new one, this will prevent the URLs from being changed, worth to test 1 product at least before doing other products.

2) No, saved baskets shouldn't be affected in this, saved baskets based on product's id not product's name.
