Hi All,
Is there a way of modifying (simply) or indeed altering the checkout process to make registration go to the end of payment or allow users to checkout without registering?

It's something I get asked quite a lot, both for kartris and cactushop. We have the issue in a kb on CactuShop:

The main issues aren't really technical, they are practical.
You can reduce the checkout complexity with the following:
- only have one shipping method - nothing for customers to choose
- turn off the mailing list, order updates, Ts and Cs check, etc from the checkout (there are config settings for these)
Amazon have a budget of billions but they still require this info (in fact they require you to create an account with a credit card before they'll even show you shipping and tax for your location).
We're always open to suggestions as to how to overcome this but I'm yet to really see any practical solutions as to how we can cut the required info down further and still collect what is necessary to pass an order at a payment gateway.

Just spoke to Legal we can't do without things like T&C, order update emails etc. Hmmm, justifyably, issue shelved...for now. Thanks.
