Hi there,
I am trialling the cart and the data tool at the moment. I started a theme - but stopped as I wanted to make sure the bulk import worked first!
So basically, downloaded and extracted the data tool to my desktop. Clicked on 'Update Kartris using a CSV/ Excel file' - the new window launches. I select the file that I want to import and then click the 'open' button, at which point the file browser dialog disappears and it doesnt put the file address into the textbox like it should. (tried with CSV and .xls files).
I have typed the file locations in manually but section two and three are still inactive.
I cant find a readme.txt to see if there was meant to be an intial set-up of some sort. Also, clicking on the help/ support on the main window leads to http://www.kartris.com/t-DataTool/ - which has a 404 error message. (which the url in it i think it just needs the / removing and .aspx adding as i went the data tool web page but couldnt see any help there).
Thank you for any assistance.

Hi Dave, you have to use the "browse" button to select your CSV or XLS file as the button needs to validate the file first before activating section 2 and 3. It might take a few seconds to validate the file but it should be able display either an OK or an error message below the textbox once it finishes checking the file. Which version of the data tool you're using? I can check what's going wrong if you can send me a message with the CSV/XLS file you're trying to import.

Thanks Meds, I will check this when I get home. I didnt realise that it takes sometime to validate data - i thouught that it just waited for a value in the textbox.
Will check it later.
Thank you.

It is the 64-bit edition? Other users have reported issues running the data tool with it. If so, can you try running the data tool on a different machine and see if it works ok?
