While installing Katris using Microsoft Web Platform installer 4.6. I have a good install of the prerequisites until the Katris program. SQL Server 2008 R2--Default database admin account for 'SA'. Database Server .\SQL EXPRESS.

Message:Specified user account 'sa' is not valid, or failed to connect to the database server.

I have tried now four times to install and the same message comes up. I have opened SQL and looked at the account list and sa is not there. I need help to install to an account that is on the list or add sa to the list. I also get a message in SQL "password not valid".

Help on this would be appreciated.

I have tried to install NopCommerce as an alternative and have the same problem. I would prefer to use your app. as I have good words said about it.

The sa account (system admin) is the default SQL admin account that most installations have at default. The web platform installer forces use of this to run some SQL for the db setup, but generally we set this up manually. Which version of windows do you have? We do have some manual instructions on the userguide, but I can review them and make sure they cover everything including the db if I know what version of Windows you're installing on.

James, we've updated the userguide with some screenshots and all the steps to set up Kartris manually. This was using Windows 8, but it should be very similar to using Windows 7. Would be great if you can try this and give some feedback on how you get on.
