I put N in the the promotions' link to appear in the navigation menu and the promotions link still appear???what I doing wrong?

This may be cached? Try clearing Kartris caches in backend?

the same happens with me.
also change web_menu.sitemap with no sucess.
frontend.promotions.enabled is "n" but appears always. my verison is 2.5003
how i cleari Kartris caches in backend?

I am also having the same problem. I have specified the value to be 'n' for the following items yet they still display on the top navigation bar.
wish lists
promotions
knowledgebase
support tickets
I clicked the refresh icon (circular arrows) from within the backend AND restarted my equipment AND checked on another device yet no joy.
How can I remove these from the main menu?

Is there any update on this?
The knowlegebase and support tickets items no longer appear but the wishlist and promotions still display in the top menu bar
