Having a few problems building the latest version - had to pull a couple of releases of 2.0002 on codeplex because they were missing folders. Looking over the .bat file that does the build now. Hope to have a working release today, we're going to have to test it a bit more than usual.
Just a quick heads up, in case anyone is struggling with v2.0002.... wait a bit and we'll have a new zip soon.

Ah this probably explains the problems I had last night.
On another note I see you posted a link to the new datatool on another thread. I was trying to use this to move V7 data over to kartris, but the db connection seemed buggy, also the table prefix field seemed to be required. I am right in thinking this is a really early release that needs more work? If so do you know when this will be ready?
Cheers!

The table prefix is required for the CactuShop tables - the default is 1, so unless you have changed it, that's what they'll be. Previously we assumed 1 (in last data tool), but then we had to upgrade a site and sure enough the customer had changed the table prefix (we had this feature long time back so you could run two CactuShops on same SQL db, useful if upgrading from one to another for example).
I've not had problems with the connections - when you say it was bugging, did you get errors, or did it just not appear to work as you expected?

So this is what happens,
1. Open datatool and go 'Import Cactushop data' 2. click new connection 3. Enter friendly name & description + change db type to Access + set prefix to 1 4. Browse to the db (this is in a site in inetpub) 5. Leave password field blank as it is not password protected 6. Click next and I get 'Process completed successfully' with a tick in green at bottom of window.
At this stage the 'Test & activate connection' does not seem to do anything and the 'next' button is greyed out.
I have also tried setting up a connection in the 'Saved connections' area first and also adding one manually to the Connections.xml file directly.
Any ideas?
I am using Win 7 Pro, I have yet to try this on a XP machine, but will tomorrow.
Edit: I have just tried on a win 2008 VPS with same problem.
Note : It is entirely possible that I am doing something stupid I assume the 'name' and 'description' fields are friendly?

Could be an issue in the Access support, we've largely been testing against MS SQL. I'll stick this on the bugtrack to look into.

Hi Paul,
Is there any news on the Access support? I am nearly ready to move that V7 site but need the datatool to do this. They plan to use a commercial license with paid support.

I'll check again, was fixed language import bugs with last alpha. See if I can get this sorted today.
