After installing the latest Kartris and running the Data Tool, I just get the generic Oop theres been an error message - how do I get detailed errors to show so I can see the problem?

You may find that the Windows event log can show you errors that are coming from the application. There is an internal log file but it is a bit hit-and-miss for installation problems.
