This maybe a simple question, but I can't see the answer for myself.
When setting a stock level of say 5, why does the cart allow me to proceed and buy 6 or more ?

Found the answer, eventually.
Need to set the value frontend.orders.allowpurchaseoutofstock to N
Follow-up question to this though, with the above set to NO, how can a customer add a product that is out of stock to a wishlist ?
