Hi all, Is there a way in the Kartris backend to create shipping zones by using
Weight + UK Post Code or by Volume + UK Post Code or by Weight + Volume + Post Code
Either one of the above will work nicely for me. Thanks.

At present there isn't any way with the default shipping to incorporate post codes, other than by setting up multiple country-regions for example:
UK - GU postcodes UK - RD postcodes UK - other postcodes
Volume of items is also an issue as the overall dimensions of a parcel incorporating multiple items depends on the packing, and the more items, the more alternative ways they can be placed together. By contrast, weight is one dimensional so far simpler to deal with, as the weight is the same regardless of how the items are packed together.
Kartris's shipping system is open and can potentially support real time shipping plugins. UPS for example, where the order weight and postcode is sent to UPS, and the shipping types available and respective prices sent back for the user to choose from. It would just require access to an appropriate web service to provide pricing and shipping methods, and some custom coding to provide the integration with Kartris in the form of a shipping plugin.

Hi - we need to distinguish between most UK postcodes and those in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland (for example).
How would you go about this?
Tx.
