We're looking at the next version(s) of Kartris, and one of the features on our list is multi-store support.
I've added a KB to outline the differences between multi-store and multi-vendor (which we don't plan on implementing).
http://www.kartris.com/Knowledgebase/Multi-vendor-and-multi-store-support__k-50.aspx
We'd welcome suggestions on exactly how much granularity people feel is necessary. For example, we'd generally consider that attributes, options, etc. could be shared between all stores. Customers too, though we'd tag them as to which is their 'primary' store.
For customers running SSL, we'd need to consider whether to implement SSL on each domain, or route customers to a single domain when logged in or checking out, in order only one SSL cert is required.
At this stage, we'd just like to gather any suggestions so we make the best decisions about implementing this.

This is definitely something one of my clients is keen to implement as soon as possible. Any ideas when this may be released?
Thanks

It's not imminent, perhaps 2-3 months away but no guarantees. As always, our development is largely dependent on the projects we have on, the requirements for those as well as available development hours.
Kartris is free software, but the majority of major developments come out of custom projects we work on. But free users can help either promoting Kartris or adding reviews and so on; anything that increases the user base increases the number of major custom developments we do, and hence improvements to the code for everyone. Ultimately, without the help of those using Kartris, things can't really move forward - or certainly not at the pace we'd all like them to.

We have opened a new thread with more specific discussion - please contribute to this if you are interested in multi-site support. This is your chance to help shape the way we do it.
