Ihave created a new category to display special offers.
Oncecreated, the category has been ticked to show on site, sadly the category isnot being displayed within the product menu column on the front of the website. Whilst I can view and edit the setup within the Kartris backend.

The category menu is cached for performance... There should be a button to restart kartris or refresh the cache I think?

Yes, the default cache time is set to 300 seconds (5 mins) so it might take that long for items to appear on the front end although the back end refresh button just about the left hand category treeview should clear the cache immediately.

Thankyou
Ihave refreshed the Kartris and the new categories have not been generated. Whensetting up the skin, did you specially code the categories within the skindesign?
Cheers Ian

No, the categories definitely come from the database, we wouldn't hardcode something like that into the skin. If you edit existing categories, do you see the edited names or still the old names in the menu?

Sadly when a category name is changed andKartris refreshed, no change occurs. I have also waited 10 minutes to see if the change takes effect.
