It would be helpful to have the breadcrumb trails in the backend carry down to product level. When putting several products in a category you need to re-navigate each time down through the category levels to reach where you just were. I can see there may be an issue where a product is in multiple categories, perhaps have multiple breadcrumb trails?

This only seems to be an issue when you are adding new products.

I guess the simplest way would be to remember the last navigated category and have a link to return there, or even automatically return to that?

Yes, to automatically return to the last category would make sense. Users would normally be adding multiple products to the same category and if not they would have to navigate away anyway.

Also have noticed when deleting a product you are directed back to
.../Admin/_Category.aspx?CategoryID=0
rather than the category you were just in.
