I seem to be having a problem with Shipping rates. I only have 2 options - Customer Pickup & Second Class. The rates are set by weight - up to 0.1kg = 0.46, up to 0.5kg = 0.50, up to 1kg = £1.00 etc, and shipping is only available for the UK, all the rest have been disabled. However when testing the Shipping dropdown shows the following:

"Customer pickup"
"Second Class ex Tax: £12.77 Inc Tax: £12.77"

When you click on the Second Class option the wording does change to "Second class", but then will calculate a seemingly arbitrary rate (£0.39 etc)

I have altered the [spKartrisShippingMethods_Get] stored procedure as found in another post on this site regarding a shipping bug  but this hasn't seemed to work. Is there something else I have missed?

(Unfortunately I am on version 1.2 which was installed as an app by my ISP so I have little control over upgrading to 1.3)

Any help or suggestions grateful received

Hi,
Where did you run the Alter statement ? Did you use the db admin in the backend ? if so, please try to run it on the db directly and see if that fixed.

Thanks Mohammad

I did run it on the DB directly (didn't actually realise you could do it through the backend). However on checking the logs I notice that I have the following entry:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
>>     26/06/2011 17:01:07
>>     94.175.5.205
>>     DESCRIPTION:
BasketBLL.CalculateShipping Error - DestinationID: 0
ShippingID: 1

Does this give you any clues as to what I am doing wrong?

Cheers

Adam

Hi Adam,

I recommend you to have 1.3x as 1.2 has some issues with shipping and 1.3x has alot more features than 1.2

If you have FTP and db connection details which are enough to do the upgrade, if you decided to do the upgrade make sure to keep a backup of everything (files and db) before doing any step, and to use the latest data tool version, anyway if you want i can help you doing that, just let me know.
